What’s New at Grand Canyon Youth
13th Annual River Runner Film Festival & Silent Auction
Thank you to everyone who made this year's event a HUGE success!
On November 3rd, 2012, over 600 people from Flagstaff and beyond gathered to raise funds and celebrate another successful season for Grand Canyon Youth. Attendees heard youth talk about their transformative experiences, watched great river-themed films, ate delicious food and bid on a variety of incredible items in the silent auction. It was a truly a fun, community-focused event! The funds received at this event help us keep the cost of our programs more affordable for our participants! Thank you for your generosity. The 2013 Event is scheduled for November 2nd!
A special thank you to our 2012 event sponsors: Fratelli Pizza, Boyer Metal, Barringer Crater Company, Dave & Sue Stilley, and Dan & Alida Dierker!
You can always let us know you want to do a trip!

Grand Canyon Youth partners with Coconino Coalition for Children and Youth on P.A.W.S. project.
Promoting Assets with Sculpture (PAWS) is a Coconino Coalition for Children and Youth led public art project in Flagstaff. With the help of the Coalition and an anonymous donor, GCYC students have paired up with Hozhoni artist Robert Zappanti to paint a large mountain lion sculpture. Each sculpture in the greater Flagstaff community depicts one of 40 developmental assets outlined by the Coalition. Participants in the project chose the asset "Positive Peer Influence" for their lion. This project is completed. Stop by Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff to check it out!
